We have recently released some Open Source software that manages ISO images on a USB Flash drive. This software is now available pre-installed on a Kingston Exodia device in either 64Gb or 128Gb sizes..
There are many options out there that allow you to boot Linux from a USB key, so what makes this different?
- The menu supports a wide range of different distributions including Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch, MX
- It supports legacy and UEFI boot options
- It can update itself **
- It’s available under an MIT licence.
** The key maintains a list of supported ISO’s which can be updated directly from the Internet . So when a new version of a distribution becomes available (or a new distribution!) it can be added to the online catalogue and be downloaded by the key, automatically making it available via the Key’s boot menu.
