Mad Penguin Consulting provide a set up and configuration service for off-site backups for your server or workstation. The fee is per machine and the work can be carried out either over the phone with a competent administrator, or remotely via SSH. This service requires a subscription to a third party cloud backup vendor, or your own backup server. (not included)

Description

This software we configure is called “BorgBackup” and is a standard Open Source package that is available for most Linux based systems. The software relies on an external Open Source Borg Backup server which is not included in the setup. You can either use a cloud based service or you can run your own server, either on-site or in the cloud.

Cloud based solutions are very cheap, typically of the order of £2 per month per £250GB.
(we can provide recommendations and also help to set this up)

A physical on-site server with a 1TB capacity would typically cost around £250 including delivery and setup.
