We have recently released some Open Source software that manages ISO images on a USB Flash drive. This software is now available pre-installed on a Kingston Exodia device in either 64Gb or 128Gb sizes..

There are many options out there that allow you to boot Linux from a USB key, so what makes this different?

  • The menu supports a wide range of different distributions including Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch, MX
  • It supports legacy and UEFI boot options
  • It can update itself **
  • It’s available under an MIT licence.
** The key maintains a list of supported ISO’s which can be updated directly from the Internet . So when a new version of a distribution becomes available (or a new distribution!) it can be added to the online catalogue and be downloaded by the key, automatically making it available via the Key’s boot menu.
For more details, screen shots and a list of distributions, take a look at the product page.
